Adolescents are participants in religious education and youth ministry as learners and hearers of the word. Joining with and mentoring adolescents in faith requires an understanding of religious development, the ecclesial context of faith, and the cultural supports and challenges to religion, spirituality and morals in the world and experience of adolescents. The course examines these topics in a way that aims at opening students to their own capacity and call as youth ministers and religious educators.
